Mattel has designed almost a half dozen challenging games to be played with groups of one to four players. You select the game, set the difficulty level, then let it fly.

It’s Like Being in a Science Fiction Movie

Mindflex is different, futuristic, almost like being in a science fiction movie. You strap on the headset, connect the headset’s clips to your earlobes and finally align the headset sensor slightly above your left eyebrow.

However, that’s just the beginning. Shortly, through the power of your own mind, you’ll be holding the foam ball inches above the game console, in thin air! And after you conquer that feat you can advance to higher levels. By learning the ability to focus and then relax their mind, you can make the ball rise and fall at will.

You say you’re worried about doing something as powerful at that? Don’t worry. Mattel provides an instruction manual that contains various concentration and relation techniques that will help you in this area.

Mind Bending – the Final Frontier

Once you’ve mastered that and are ready to move on to more heady stuff, you can design your own obstacle course with funnels, hurdles and hoops and even a teeter-totter that can be positioned however you want it to be positioned.

Once that’s set up then comes the fun part. Use your mind to move the ball over, under, around or through the obstacles you’ve set up.

Some of the Mindflex games test speed while another one challenges you to raise the ball through a funnel (using the power of your mind), then shooting it across the console to score points. I told you this game was different than anyone you’ve ever tried before.

Almost all the reviews in are saying the game is, well, Out Of This World. One person, whose son is autistic, said the game actually SLOWED MY SON DOWN and kept him there playing the game for five minutes.

She said he was fascinated with the Mindflex game and it had the boy instantly in tune with his speed and concentration. She went on to say that her son said it was the best gift he’s ever received. She did say that that headset left temporary dents
in his forehead skin.

Another person said he was able to get through the demo very quickly and then time flew by as he focused on the challenge. His only negative was that there wasn’t a multi-player option.

And one man said the game was not as exciting to him as an adult, but that he does see the educational value in it for kids and that when he gave the game to his nephew, the boy was in awe.

Although this game is designed for kids, it is really designed for those at least eight years of age. It is a great educational tool for developing focus and concentration.
